My first dashboard widget and it would be my birthday countdown timer :)

Just bought myself new earphone from Apple with remote and mic, but my iPodtouch is 1st generation so mic and remote is of no use but works fine with my MBP :)

I just experienced one problem with my macbook pro, I inserted blank DVD to burn some music and everything was going well and suddenly i got message that the disc cannot burn the contents and then I tried to remove it from my machine but it didn’t come out and I restarted my MBP and tried again but still no luck and again I shut down completely and restarted again but nothing happened, I just heard the disc spinning inside but wouldn’t come out. Finally I found the solution on the web and thought to share with you all

Solution

Shutdown MBP completely and hold power button again to start and hold down your tackpad button as if you are clicking the left button in your mouse and the disc will eject automatically, so if you experience same problem try this :)

Yesterday I updated my iPod touch firmware from 2.2.1 to all new and amazing OS 3.0, It took me like around 15 minutes to update 3.0 firmware. The installation was pretty smooth and everything went good while installing. I saw some cool new features bundled with it, some of my favorite are as below although every new additions are amazing on its own way.

Safari Improvements
Enjoy faster performance, autofill user names and passwords, and I can save images from the web to my Photo Gallery.

Sync Notes
Never leave a note behind. Now you can sync all the notes you write on your iPhone back to your Mac or PC.

YouTube Login
Log in to your YouTube account to save and sync bookmarks and rate favorites.

Shake to Shuffle
Give iPhone a shake and it shuffles to a different song in your music library.

Select, Select All, Copy, Cut and Paste
I was really looking for this feature to be integrated in update, it just makes life easier and now I don’t have to type everything so now I can copy the word or full sentence and paste it and if I accidently paste it in wrong place, I can just shake my ipod and updo paste button will appear in the screen and I can undo the changes.

Spotlight Search
One of the best thing found in 3.0, now I am able to search my whole iPod from one screen and all the results will show up, not matter what, Music, Video, Email, Notes, Apps., and much more.

Yesterday I upgraded my Safari browser from 4.0 Public Beta to 4.0 Full Release and I saw one change instantly as soon as I opened the browser and it was tabs, in public beta version the tabs were at the top but in this final release I saw they are below now and that’s really good cause I was getting annoyed while closing and opening new tabs when they were at the top. I can experience that the browser is more faster now and I have decided to make Safari my default browser from now, as previously Firefox was my default, so everything looks good in this browser :).
